  • What do you want to do before you die?

So I was watching this MTV show last night, where 4 friends travel around America trying to cross off things on their '100 things to do before I die' list. All the while they help random strangers with their list also.

I got pretty into the show, even stayed up until 6am just to watch all 8 episodes. Fortunately, Season 2 will start in September, so definitely looking forward to what else these guys have in store. Granted, some of the items on their list are a little 'huh?' (ie. First episode where they try to sneak into the Playboy mansion, but I guess that IS every boys dream so...) But the side story of helping a stranger was so touching and really is also what makes the show enjoyable. (episode 1 they helped raise money for a new working computer for a school that doesn't receive a lot of funding)

The concept of the show was rather interesting, so it got me thinking, what I wanted to do before I died also.

  • Watched Inception

So on Tuesday night, I went with a few friends and watched Inception.

My God, it was great. I had seen a trailers for it, but never really paid attention to them, so I wasn't too sure what the movie was about. Good thing too, cause that meant I didn't know what to expect. But I like Leo Dicaprio's acting, (and ever since Titanic, who the heck DOESN'T like him?) and I know that his movies are usually really good. More Here...

  • Hawks 2010 Stanley Cup Champions!

I'll make this short and sweet, since I haven't been in the blogging mood as of late.

Hawks are 2010 Stanley Cup Champions! Damn exciting, I swear my heart was beating out of my chest. When Flyers scored 4 with minutes left to tie the game... holy fuck, I was so worried. But Mullet boy, Kaner scored the winning goal in overtime! Great highlight, puck was stuck under the net padding, so no one knew where it was, but Kaner knew it was in. The entire arena was silent, all you could hear was Kaner skating to Niemi going 'YEAH!! YEAH!! YEAH!!'. Goal went under review, but it went in. CHAMPIONS!!! Not a very dramatic win as everyone was confused for the first few seconds. But when everyone realized what happened, it was amazing.

  • Finals are over, come here summer.

That's right, my finals are over. They officially ended for the entire school on Friday, and mine finished last Monday. First semester where my finals ended earlier than the last day. But since I finished so early, and most of my friends still had finals, I stayed at home and didn't really do much.

This summer, I might take a summer course again. It's supposed to be really easy, but we'll have to see. Going job hunting tomorrow. Hopefully I can find a job, because School tuition is killing me...

I started playing Badminton again. It's been a while, and unfortunately for me, most of the players I play with are really good and I'm just mediocre. Good thing I'm friends with a few of them, or they wouldn't give me the light of day. Actually, one of them already is kind of like that. Well, it's a work out none the less. Let's hope I can keep it up. I haven't worked out since last week either. Better start up on my routine again.

Good news! I'm getting a new laptop! Well a replacement from Dell. When they came to replace my motherboard, it didn't fix my audio problem. Since it was the 3rd time a technician came to fix my laptop, I was eligible to have my laptop replaced, which they willingly did. Currently parts are being ordered and laptop is being built. Unfortunately, my 13'' model is no longer in production, so instead, I'm getting the 16'' from the same line, Studio XPS. It's going to suck since the laptop will be larger, never owned one so big actually. But the good thing is, is that I'm getting some awesome upgrades. Let's hope the new one lasts longer than this one did. The longer I own this thing, the more problems that arise. Really, I'm not impressed.

Watching the Hawks game tonight. Game 6, they lead the series against Nashville 3-2. 3 min left in the period and Hawks are in the lead! Let's hope they win it tonight! If they do, win the series and then play Canucks in next round. I still don't understand the entire game, had to ask a friend a few weeks back what the heck the +/- rating meant. I still only know only 1/4 of all the rules. Actually scratch that, less. But Hockey is still pretty exciting to watch. That's all I need.

I'm majorly craving pho right now. Had some last week, but damn it, I'm craving it again. Actually I'm craving the noodles my dad makes. Red broth, no idea what it's call, cause it's in Vietnamese, but it's absolutely delicious.

I end the entry with this:

Hello gorgeous... you have any idea how much I'd love to drink you up? I want you. Bad.

  • Another day... more rain... more crappy service

For the last few weeks, I had this major final Psych project that was due on Monday. Stayed up till 8am to finish. Never have I felt so relieved to get school work off my hands. Well, I always dislike doing homework, but this project was so long and tedious... I just hated working on it. An incredible amount of weight off my shoulders. Now, all that is left are my finals, which are in two weeks.

Today and yesterday were incredibly gloomy. It's humid out, and has been raining for the entire day. I quote my friend, "God didn't want us to wear short clothes and enjoy the nice weather. It's a sign he wants us to stay in and study."
We celebrate your resurrection, and this is how you repay us? With rain? (granted, farmers are probably happy with the rain. It has been warming up quite a bit, and their crops have already started blooming. One month early...)
Guess we shouldn't be complaining so much, considering we had a pretty green and warm winter.

So last summer I bought a Dell laptop. I've been using Dell desktops and laptops for a number of years and I never ran into any major problems with them. My old Latitude notebook, which my parents now use to watch the Chinese news, I had used for about 3 years. I got it used too, so who knows how long the previous owner had it for. It was free, so I really didn't care. I'm not much of a gamer, so it got the job done. No matter what I did with it, no matter how many virus' it contracted, never broke. Blue screen of death came up SO many times, yet it never broke on me. It's rather slow now, but hey, still pretty impressive.
So after years of searching for the 'perfect' one, I finally decided on Dell Studio XPS 13:
